In our last house we had HUGE cotton wood trees back in the horse barn area. They were gorgeous. One fell over in a storm (bad deal) and blocked the bike trail for a couple days.
We also had walnut trees and mulberry bushes that were there when we built the house (way out back though).
Now we are in a new development and we have one willow tree out front (not very darn big either) and we planted a bunch that you can buy at the conservation office out back. They are tiny yet.
I wonder how old we'll have to be to see these get big? We never live anywhere long enough to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
